Useful Modification for SAAB water pump

After struggling many times to keep the valve block aligned whilst refitting in a confined space I came up with the following modification:


 

This system guarantees perfect alignment every time...

Cut a 3/8” by ½” piece of copper pipe this should be a tight fit in the valve block and able to slide easily in the diaphram part achieved by careful scraping the (round) hole. I gave a spot of Loctite to the copper before pressing into the valve chest.

This little mod has improved water flow and it is easy to fit the block accurately ever time with just one hand. No more trial and error. I thought that I might pass this on to all Sabb Engine owners.
